Std Diagnosis Test Herpes Simplex Virus

Std Diagnosis Test Herpes Simplex Virus

Common questions about Std Herpes testing:

How do you tell is you have Herpes?
Answer: The Four most common diagnosis procedures, in no particular order.

Four Most Common Herpes Tests

    First: Inspection

  • Any doctor can inspect the genitals of a person to diagnose genital herpes, this the most common diagnosis method.
  • This procedure is most effective if there is any evidence of recent outbreaks.

    Second: Sample from sore

  • The doctor will take a sample from the sore or outbreak region.

Third: Test the Cervix, in women, and the Urethra, in men.

  • The doctor, with your permission, could go inside genital region to look for ulcers.
  • They do this kind of herpes diagnosis in both males and females.
  • The cervix is the primary spot the doctor aims for in women.
  • For men the doctor must get a sample or visual of the urethra, which can be uncomfortable

    Fourth: Blood Test

  • Taking a herpes blood test determines and detects present HSV-1 and HSV-2 infections.
  • The results of blood tests are by no means black and white! They are often very difficult to read, because there are so many factors that effect human blood. With the blood altered slightly, whatever the reason it makes diagnosis very difficult at times.

These are not the only std herpes tests that exist, unfortunately that information is in another post!
